Safe Field Trips for Seniors

Chepachet Farms is a real working farm where senior groups can experience a day in the countryside!

Our farm offers seniors an opportunity to experience a day on a farm, enjoy the animals, take a horse-drawn hayride or just enjoy sitting and taking in our restful surroundings!

Activities

  • Plant flowers and vegetables
  • Tour of our maple sugar house
  • Pancake breakfast and maple sundae
  • Cooking class
  • Spend time with the animals
  • Horse drawn hayride
  • Enjoy lunch and a snack around the campfire

Chepachet Farms is especially set up with seniors' safety concerns in mind.

Helpful Hints

  • Wear comfortable, sensible shoes
  • No open-toed shoes or sandals are allowed
  • A jacket and gloves are optional, but useful
  • Provide your own lunch and transportation
  • Bring appropriate companions

Chepachet Farms is owned and worked by Jody & Neil Esposito. Jody is a graduate of RISD Culinary Arts program and a certified RI food safety manager.
Jody is registered with the per partners in animal assisted programs, and holds certificates of completion in horticultural and agricultural activity programs.
Chepachet Farms is registered with the USDA for animal welfare.
